Obama Terrific On Teleprompter; Bad On Planning

“… I rejected the original restructuring plan” that Chrysler LLC submitted for government loans, President Obama said April 30 in announcing his decision to force Chrysler into bankruptcy. “… And the standard I set was high — I challenged them to design a plan …”

But what was President Obama’s plan?  Apparently, to gift wrap the corporation for the American auto unions and Fiat and to screw the “lenders” who had kept the company afloat.  Obama derisively called them “speculators.”

On Gitmo: we’ll close it without delay.  The plan to relocate the inmates?  Aint got one.

So without a plan, the Congress refused to cough up any money.  House Appropriations Committee Chairman Dave Obey (D-Wis.) told the White House “when they have a plan, they’re welcome to come back and talk to us.”

But the president pretty much did get away without a plan on the stimulus.  He called the situation an emergency, allowed Nancy Pelosi to spread out the details to her committee chairman and rammed the legislation home before anyone could read it.  That was the White House plan.

Health care? No plan.  Like the stimulus, the Congress should work out the details President Obama says.

Hey, he got away with that on the stimulus, right?

There seems a lack of proper planning throughout this White House.

And it didn’t start with cinco de cuatro.  It didn’t start by sending Air Force One careening over New York for a $3.00 photo that ended up costing closer to $1 million.  And it didn’t start with Air Force One going to Iowa for a 15 minute talk on saving energy…..

Cap and trade and the total re-engineering of the nation’s energy system to remove coal and oil?  We don’t know the total plan or much of the costs either.

The Obama White House needs a reset button.  And they need to plan…..

Was it Joe Biden, Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton that thought it was a good idea to encourage Russia to just hit the “reset” button?  Well, whoever…..
