“Wash your hands, cover your mouth when you cough, and keep the kids home if they’re sick.”
That from the Commander in Chief last night.
Frankly, I would have much preferred to hear, “We are Americans. This is the flu. We rid the world of Nazis and threw off the yoke of slavery. You know what to do.”
But we live now in a childish never-never land where government proposes to tell us everything, do everything for us, and bandrupt our children.
And most of the media has agreed to embrace, honor and love this government and its New Messiah, The Barack.
No wonder newspapers are failing.
What makes the president “enchanted” a New York Times reporter asked last night?
Honestly: you and your newpaper deserve to fail.
Give us a break.
Torture: hasn’t happened in years and Obama brought it back to the front of our minds by releasing the memos. Why? For what reason? To placate his left? Political or moral it doesn’t matter. The president’s job is in the here and now — reality.
Remember when James Carville said, “It’s the economy, stupid”? Well, it’s dealing with reality we need now, stupid.
Reality is there’s work to do. But Barack Obama has embraced the “never let a good crisis go to waste” philosophy of Rahm Emanuel. We had to pass the stimulus without reading it because of the crisis. We have to reform health care because of the crisis. We have to fire the GM head: because of the crisis. And don’t forget to wash your hands. Haven’t you heard about the crisis?
Stop already on all sides. Back to reality.
I can’t help thinking what my dad might have said after 7% of my high school days were completed had I boasted about my many triumphs. He would not have asked about enchantment.
He might have kicked me in the nuts and told me to face reality and quit lying to myself and others…..
And if I had run up this much debt; well, he’d be talking about THAT and not brushing it aside to the as yet unborn.
Are Americans really in so much need of Obama-Mommy?
